THE FORUM ETIQUETTE

Keeping with the spirit of creating a relpica of a real life devotional sanga, the interactions taking place on the premises of the forums should be approached as nondifferent from a situation where you sat in a room in person with devotees. In a Vaishnava community, one should maintain proper decorum and offer due respect to others. Some aspects worth particular attention have been outlined below:
Respect seniority. Participants should recognize and respect seniority in terms of (1) devotional knowledge, (2) devotional practice, (3) years on the path, and (4) physical age.

Do not fight in public. Critique, quarrels and so forth must be done over PMs or e-mails, if they are to take place at all. They would not, or at least should not, take place in a public assembly of devotees, and therefore should also not take place on the premises of Forum.
There is a good deal of plurality among the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, and that should be respected.

Beyond the above, whatever else is common etiquette in Vaishnava communities should also be the standard at Forum without a need for a detailed explanation in this context.

PRIVATE/PERSONAL MESSAGES

As an alternative to email, Forum offers a faster, more private method. Personal messaging provides instantaneous delivery to the other forum member's mailbox. The mail is sent and received entirely through Forum, so neither you nor the recipient have to open another program or leave Forum. Personal messaging also offers both the sender and the recipient greater privacy because no-one's real email address is revealed. Personal messages show only the handle and name of both parties. You can even add more recipient for every message

If a recipient isn't online, personal messages wait in the member's PM box until the next time he/she logs in and reads and/or deletes them. Personal Messages is a self-contained, highly private email system.

Dear devotees, friends, sisters and brothers

Cause I don't know all of you it's impossible to know which kind of initiation or relationship with Sadhu Maharaja you have (siksa, harinam, diksa...). Initially all members belongs to "devotee" or "wellwisher" membergroup. If you are taking siksa (instructions) or you are initiated by Sadhu Maharaja (harinama or diksa) please send me a private letter through this forum so I can change your membergroup status. It will be nice if you can write a date of initiation. In this way you will be able to attend some additional boards. All your names with date of initiation will be shown in this harinama and diksa boards. In this way we can better know each other and make wonderfull friendly relationships.

All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Radha Mohan
